Medusa's Garden

I've studied a lot of mythology and more than likely you'll be seeing more mythological posts--not all of it will be Greek and Roman mythology either. That being said welcome to Medusa's Garden.

This was another piece that I was working on when I was first learning Photoshop. I started working on it using Photoshop 7 and then I finished it using Photoshop CS3. I started with an initial sketch and kept building layer after layer. I believe the most difficult part was turning certain elements of the original sketch to stone like textures, for example the pathway and the statues.
