Black and White Sketches

I just realized that I hadn't posted anything for the month of November my apologies I'm still at work sketching.

In the meantime here are some black and white sketches that are in progress:

No, I did not intend to draw comedian Ben Bailey, mostly known as the driver on Cash Cab, but if he glances at this you can most assuredly look good in a Mohawk like this, Mr. Bailey. The actual inspiration for this picture was a rust stain on my shower wall, which looks more ape man like, I will most likely be sketching the Mohawk man again.

I intend to draw a cyclops as one of my creature features for the art competition I'm sketching away for. I decided to freehand sketch a portrait of a cyclops to play around with the anatomy of the face to make sure that the face would look realistic, even with a fantasy/scifi portrait I want some plausibility for people to relate to. I like how the anatomy of this face turned out, but I was going for a neutral look on the face and somehow ended up with a cyclops school portrait smile. You can almost hear the photographer telling the cyclops, "Say Sheep."
