Ascension

It has been awhile since I posted a digital art piece, and since I recently completed one that I showed a character sketch of, in a previous post, (see Mermaids) I decided it was time to show what I am calling the completed piece.

I added bubbles to show her letting out a breathe as she began to surface and at the base of her one fin to make it look like she had just moved that tail. This is a mixed media piece as I created the mermaid using a Poser debut CG model and then added fins and colored in the sketch by hand then the rest was Photoshop CS6 with help from tutorials out of Photoshop Creative and Imagine FX magazines.
